Emoticast is an award winning (Cannes Silver Lion 2017) media and technology company working with the world’s biggest artists and record labels (Warner, Universal, Sony...), movie studios and TV networks (Disney, Fox, Amazon,....) to bring the universe of popular culture to our messaging app partners (Kik, Facebook, Viber, What’sApp,...) in the form of GIFs with sound.

Despite texts and emojis, people struggle to provide a fun & personalized communication experience on mobile. For people who live on messaging and entertainment and want to up their chat game Emoticast is the place to go to arm yourself with the most expressive communication tools in the solar system. Unlike BitMoji & GIPHY that only offer basic visual experiences, Emoticast injects the universe of pop culture (complete with sound and music) into the users’ chat stream. OPENING OUR LA OFFICE:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial self starter who is digitally savvy and who also has deep music and entertainment relationships.

You will be representing for us on the west coast so gotta be a rockstar!  

You will work directly with the CEO and our UK Head of Partnerships to take our partnerships with artists / managers, labels on the music side and movie studio, tv networks to the next level. You will develop existing partnerships and bring new ones from your own network. 

This role is designed for somebody who is a self starter who can hustle, think laterally, devise creative partnerships, close deals and generally ball! 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Target, develop, and build relationships with music and entertainment industry partners to ensure a consistent pipeline of opportunities

Grow, maintain and leverage network of partners to ensure a consistent pipeline of opportunities across key US accounts (eg UMG, Warner, Disney)

Attend industry events with an eye toward developing strategic relationships and providing feedback and information on market and creative trends

Present to our leadership team on business trends with a view to developing new integrations of our content. 

WHO YOU ARE:

You have 5+ years experience in business development, partnerships, sales or marketing

You have a strong existing network of relationships in music and entertainment with artists, labels, TV and movie studios

You have a track record of achieving targets and exceeding goals

You have a knack for creativity and storytelling, with strong presentation and communication skills

You enjoy networking and attending events and love meeting new people

You’re persuasive and inspirational

You have experience working with brands and agencies; professional and/or personal connections, a plus

You’re self-motivated, ambitious, and optimistic

You’re a baller with hustle
